2025 Bat Speed

This is a 6 week (12 sessions) in dome and 4 week remote training program run by Pete Whitmer, Assistant Scouting Director for Prep Baseball Report – Ohio, using scientifically proven principles widely used by MLB organizations today. This program is designed to develop the most important physical tool a player can have…bat speed.

Each player will be individually assessed using the highest level of technology available:

Blast Motion – measures bat speed/ hand speed / rotational acceleration

Trackman Hitting – measures batted ball data such as exit velocity and distance, and video to identify opportunities mechanically to increase bat speed.

After the assessment period each player will be given an individual bat speed program w/specific drills, bat weights, and rep ranges tailored to their individual needs that will be executed/adjusted throughout the 6 week program. In the final week we will retest to measure individual progress.
